School Street Trials at Grange First School and Westgate Hill Primary Academy

Grange First School and Westgate Hill Primary Academy held their School Streets trial on 21 October. Norham Road was closed between 8am and 4pm outside Grange First School and at Westgate Hill Primary, Tamworth Road and Bishop’s Avenue was closed.

Lemington Riverside Primary School Street Trial

22 October 2021

Lemington Riverside Primary held its School Street trial on 22 October and this saw Sugley Street closed between 8am and 4pm.

Sustrans come on board

Sustrans joined the project with a School Streets Officer to work with children, families, and the whole school community at potential pilot schools.

Big Walk and Wheel

Pupils at Hotspur Primary School came first in Newcastle in the Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel, with two thirds of school journeys being made by walking, wheeling, scooting or cycling.
